Praise in the Park is Tonight from 5 to 9 at Schouler Park!

Come join us for a night of food, outreach, testimonies, and great music tonight at Schouler Park from 5 to 9pm! It’s one of our biggest evangelical outreaches of the year, so don’t miss it! Anyone who wants to help should plan to either be at the church at 3 to help pack up the equipment, or at Schouler Park at 5 to help set up tents and the various stands.

Thanks, and see you there!

Matt

Have you ever heard of a “cardboard testimony”? Please take a moment to watch this powerful video.

The Praise Team would like to incorporate this idea into the lineup for Praise in the Park (thank you, Sooz!), but we need your help! As you view the the link, please prayerfully consider what your own “cardboard testimony” would be, and then we’d like to encourage you to come to Praise in the Park and share it with the Valley! If you’ve been wanting to be involved in the Praise in the Park outreach but have not been able to commit to helping in a specific area, now’s your chance! We are planning to sing the following song as we all share our testimonies.

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner, condemned, unclean.

Refrain

O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!

For me it was in the garden
He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

Refrain

He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
And suffered and died alone.

Refrain

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

Refrain

We encourage everyone from VCC to prayerfully consider being part of this witness to our community. Please let me know if you’d be willing to participate. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we needed to storm Sears and the other appliance stores because we can’t get enough cardboard boxes to testify of what our Lord has done in our lives? Our God is so amazing, and we have a wonderful opportunity to share His love with the Valley we live in. Won’t you join us in making this powerful statement about our Savior’s love and the life-changing power He holds in His hands?

So how about it? What would your cardboard testimony read?
