The Times Of Our Lives

As you look back over your life, there were times that were great, right? Then there were times that were horrible-terrible-awful right? These times vary in intensity and duration and are caused by various events and relationships. These “Times of Our Lives” dramatically affect not only you, but your marriage or any relationship that you have.
These times come into our lives and we can’t control when they begin or how long they last. We rarely understand how they began and have no control in when they will come to an end.
Does God use all these “times of our lives” for good . . . really . . . all of them? . . . and if so, how?
. . . See you this Sunday as we begin this series – invite someone!

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN . . .

. . . it all collapses . . . I mean everything that you worked so hard for, waited so long for. . . that you had hoped and prayed for . . . what do you do when it all collapses? When it all crashes? When it all seems to come to an end? Does God have answers for us . . . how could this all be a part of His plan, is purpose for me?
Make sure you’re there this Sunday because that’s what we’ll be looking at as we finish our series on Faith’s Building Blocks!

Homeless Mission trip to Portland, ME 11/13/11

We will be heading to Portland after service on Sunday November 13th, 2011. If you haven’t been with us yet, this would be a great time. We are still in need of snack items and cold weather items to be donated. We need things like long johns (tops and bottoms), scarves, blankets, quilts, sweaters and any food item that does not need a can opener. If you are able to donate please bring these items before November 13 to the church. The best time would be before service on Sunday mornings. Service starts at 10 AM

NOVEMBER 6th … FIRST SUNDAY

DON’T FORGET . . . that on “First Sundays,” we celebrate the ordinance of The Lord’s Supper together as a family, followed by a fellowship/ pot luck/ pot faith celebration!

November’s “First Sunday” falls on the weekend of our “Ladies Retreat;” so I would ask that the men pick up the responsibility of preparing the food for the fellowship that Sunday afternoon. I’m thinking that the food will be incredibly awesome . . . we can do this !!!

WHY ME! … “TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE” 10/16/2011

Sound familiar? Life is filled with things you don’t expect. Trouble comes at the most inopportune times … yet is a part of all of our lives. Either you just got out of trouble – - – you’re in it right now – - – or you’re headed into it. And we often ask God; WHY ME? How can this be a part of your plan for me? How can this be “good?”
The Bible tells us that we’ll have difficulties. Bring a guest with you Sunday as we look at how God uses the troubles that come into our lives to grow us and strengthen our faith.

Women’s Retreat November 4th and 5th

Hello Ladies,

Well retreat is about a month away.

We have about 15- 20 ladies coming. Praise GOD. As always bring a friend.

Several sisters have asked what is the theme of the Retreat. It is called Sweet Life Cafe. No, not based on (almost) everyone’s favorite coffee. But on bread. Through these devotions/ studies we will see that Jesus is the bread of life. ( and I know we know this but it is good to revisit this message.) Just to be nourished by Him and share with each other.

Some of us may find God’s word sweet, others savory, and still others spicy. Come and share with your sisters.

Prayerfully we will find rest, laughter, share story, and grow closer to each other.
