Praise in the Park a Great Success

We had a great turnout for Praise in the Park! Thank you all for your support in this wonderful ministry: the evangelism tent, the food booth, the sound and video technicians, everyone who helped set up tents, Crossfire Youth, Pastor Tim, the Worship band, and One Less Lost, and last but most important, Jesus! Did I miss anyone? I hope and pray not! If I did, my sincere apologies.

God Bless You All,
Matt

Independence Day Parade Float

Hello everyone!

The parade is almost here! Tomorrow is the fourth of July parade, and I need anyone and everyone who is willing to walk to come out and join us! We are pulling a small trailer that has been transformed into the ‘Boomerang Express’, and we will walk along with the float and pass out the flyers to the people sitting and watching. We have four hundred flyers so we need lots of help! This is such a great way to get our word out and to put a invitation in each hand!

We will be lining up on the road across from Laconia Electric (right across from the covered bridge on Washington street) at 1:30. The parade is at 2:00, so we have some time to line up and get ready. Our theme is Australian outback, so grab khakis, your Vacation Bible School shirt, safari looking hats, anything looking like your gonna go wrestle an alligator!

I am very excited and hope to see you all there!

Please pray for our VBS program, for the parade, and for every child and adult working in VBS and who may attend VBS!

Please call me with any questions: home 447-6898, cell 662-7377

Dinner Theatre Help Needed

Dinner Theatre is just about a month away (is that really possible?) and the drama team is rarin’ to go! We have had so much getting ready for this year’s production, and it’s awesome to see the pieces finally coming together… but there are still a few loose ends to be tied up!

Please see if the Lord might use you in one or more of these areas:

1. We need childcare for the nights of the dinner theatre, but only for the children of cast/crew (that basically means the Woodward boys, Noah, Justin, and Gracie). If you could help either of those two nights, please, please, please let me know! It will be much appreciated… and may even get you an extra piece of chocolate cream pie!

…which leads me to #2.

2. We need about 20 (yes… TWENTY) chocolate cream pies for EACH NIGHT…. that’s a total of 40 pies! Nothing fancy… frozen pie crusts and instant pudding filling will do. Please email Alyce if you can help with the pies. We’ll take care of the whipped cream on this end. :) There will also be a sign up sheet on the back table starting Sunday.

3. Lastly, and most importantly, we covet your prayers. There is so much to pray for! More than anything else, please pray for those who will come and see the dinner theatre, and hear a solid message about how Jesus died for them. Pray about who the Lord may be asking you to invite, and then remain in prayer for them right through the event. Please pray for the cast and crew… that sickness would stay away, that lines would be memorized. Please pray for decorations and scene settings to be finished, for costumes to come together, for the ability to present this drama with laughter and humor, but also with clarity. Above all, pray with us that our hearts would be to serve the Lord and see Him alone glorified. Please pray that everything we say and do, whether on stage or behind closed doors, would bring much honor to the amazing God that we love. If not for Him, we act in vain. Literally. :)

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light…” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)

If you spent any time at all with us at our Friday rehearsals, you would know just how peculiar we are… but our hearts’ desire is to show forth the praises of our Matchless Redeemer who has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light! Don’t you know… He has put someone in your life that needs to hear that! Their life may be depending on it… so bring them on down to Uncle Phil’s and let’s see if we can’t share the good news with a community that so desperately needs to experience it! God bless you as we serve Him together!

Acting up for Jesus,

Heather C.
