Tomorrow’s (Thursday-November 20th) Women’s Retreat DVD series is being cancelled due to cold weather indoors at Valley Christian Church.
Also, next Thursday’s morning bible study is also cancelled since this is Thanksgiving.

Dear VCC Family,
Due to issues beyond our control, we are canceling Pioneer Clubs this evening, Nov. 19. There is no heat and no hot water and equipment is throughout the building as they replace the furnace.
Also remember that there is no Pioneer Clubs next Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.

There will be a Fellowship/Christmas Decorating the church on Sunday, November 30 at 6pm.
This is for the entire family and many hands will make light the work. We will be cranking up some Christmas music and having light refreshments. Please try to attend and enjoy a couple hours fellowshipping with other Christian families.
Ladies a reminder!
We have an opportunity to view the Women’s Retreat DVD series on Thursday morning, November 20, 2008 at Valley Christian Church At 9:30 a.m. All babies and toddlers are welcome. We will open up the nursery for you and play a movie for the children.
Topics include: Angela Thomas - “Keeping a Quiet Life”, Anne Graham Lotz - “Hope when You are Defeated”, Beth Moore - “Living Beyond Yourself,” and Jennifer Rothschild - “Walking by Faith.” We will take a half-way break for lunch and prayer. Feel free to bring your lunch and/or we will pick up something and bring it back. This morning will be casual and you can arrive/leave at your own discretion.
All that is required is each of your sweet smiles!

The Secret Sister/Women’s Ministry Christmas Party will be held Friday Night 6pm, Dec 5 at the church.
Bring an inexpensive or homemade ornament for a swap gift. If you have a SS bring her final gift with your name INSIDE the gift.
There are sign up sheets on the back table for those attending and also a sign up sheet for food the menu is soup/casseroles, salads, breads, desserts, punch, and coffee.
ALSO, now this is important, we will be setting up and decorating for the party on Thursday afternoon between 3:30 and 6 if you are able to help with this we would love to have extra hands.
‘Tis the season to be a blessing! This Friday (November 21st) is the Sunbridge Christmas Store! We can use all the willing hearts and hands we can get to come and help us set up, wrap gifts, and pack things up when we finish. We will begin setting up at Sunbridge at 5:30. Please see Heather C. if you are able to help in any way.
Our Christmas Cantata, titled Once Upon a Holy Night, will be performed on December 20th and 21st at 7:00 pm at the Valley Christian Church.

Set aside this day to come spend a few hours helping us clean the Lord’s house Please. The men will most likely be on the job by 7 so come and stay for as long or little as you can. There is much to be done and many hands will make it go faster and is also a good time to fellowship and get to know each other.
Shoeboxes are being collected now! It is not too late to fill one up. Find information and labels on the back table or see Rick R. This is an easy ministry in which you can be “Jesus” to a child in a third world country. Shoeboxes are due November 9th.

November 3rd will be a day long, voluntary fast for our congregation. Please spend the day praying for the elections and that our nation would turn back to God.
