Men’s Ministry

At the Valley Christian Church we believe that the core of every family is men. We are answerable to God for what happens in our families. This is an awesome responsibility that we don’t take lightly.

In Genesis 1:26 God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

We were created to have dominion. That means we are to care for, nurture and be responsible for all that God has created, including our families.

In Ephesians 5:25-27 its says, “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.”

There is no qualifier on “love your wives.” It does not say when they are acting lovable. What we need is for God to help us, and He will.

The men’s ministry at the Valley Christian Church is here to equip men with the tools they need to be the fathers, husbands and sons that God created us to be. By our nature, we men tend to stay to ourselves. We can do anything in our own strength. This is the opposite of what the Bible says. We are to be in fellowship with other men.

The best war minds in the world know that the easiest way to defeat an army is to separate the men from main army. It is easier to defeat 1 man than 100. This is why it is vital for us to support each other in everything we do.

We offer a men’s Bible study on every Monday night and a men’s breakfast the second Saturday of every month. In addition we offer counseling for the times when we all need encouragement and direction.
