Church Work Day November 15

Set aside this day to come spend a few hours helping us clean the Lord’s house Please. The men will most likely be on the job by 7 so come and stay for as long or little as you can. There is much to be done and many hands will make it go faster and is also a good time to fellowship and get to know each other.

Operation Christmas Child!

Operation Christmas Child

Shoeboxes are being collected now! It is not too late to fill one up. Find information and labels on the back table or see Rick R. This is an easy ministry in which you can be “Jesus” to a child in a third world country. Shoeboxes are due November 9th.

For more information on this ministry, see the Samaritan’s Purse website.

Voluntary Prayer and Fasting for the Nation

November 3rd will be a day long, voluntary fast for our congregation. Please spend the day praying for the elections and that our nation would turn back to God.

Lift Up the Nation Prayer Service

On November 2nd, everyone is invited to join us for prayer as we lift up the future of our nation. The service is at 6 pm.

Pioneer Clubs Reminders

Hello Everyone,

Pioneer Clubs is off to a great start! We have already had over 50 children come through our doors! Praise God!

As we do get underway, there are a couple of reminders to those who attend.

  1. Children are their parent’s responsibility at all times until they are dismissed to class. Please be sure that all children under the age of 11 are with you at all times. They are not allowed outside unless you are there with them or have personally asked another adult to watch them for you. This past Wednesday one dad found himself with many children out back and no one had come to him and asked. This is for your child’s safety, please help us follow this rule.
  2. We encourage all adults to participate in the Worship Rally in the beginning and the end. This supports the children and makes what they are learning valuable to everyone. We do request that if you do not participate in the Worship time, please make your way outback for conversations. It is difficult for children to focus on the worship while there are conversations happening in the back of the church.

Thank you for all of your support of this ministry and your help to make it even better and honoring to God.

Heather W.

Men’s Breakfast October 11th 2008

Men, don’t forget that the Valley Christian Church monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast is this Saturday, October 11th, at 8am at the church. Join us for a time of fellowship, prayer, and breakfast.

Sunbridge Christmas Store!

It’s time to start collecting for the Sunbridge Christmas Store! We will be collecting small gift items for the residents in a box in the foyer (No powders or food items, please). We will create a Christmas “Store” for the residents to shop for their loved ones. There will be no charge to them, of course, as all items will have been lovingly donated by YOU! We will then giftwrap the items for them, and have them delivered to their rooms.

The residents will experience the joy of being able to give a gift to a loved one (something they aren’t always able to do), and you will experience the joy of knowing that God has used you to make it happen!
