“Discovering Who You Are” Sunday June 10th
In this process of “growing up,” I can reflect back to my first career decision which was wanting to be a cowboy. Later on through that process I decided I wanted to be a policeman, a veterinarian, a rock star … and finally an accountant. What a wide gamut that covered, right?
He says in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” He sees in me what I don’t see yet but as I continued to walk with Him and seek after Him, He reveals more and more of His plans and encouragement to me.
I am still in this process of “growing up,” however now I am growing in Christ toward the goal He has set before me … and I rejoice in knowing that His way and His path are perfect and He will continue to reveal Himself to me as I seek after Him.
Beginning this week I want to look at what God’s word tells us about who we are … The characteristics He wants us to develop in our lives as we become more and more like Him.
Join us Sunday as we open and share in the life-giving truth of God’s Word!
Joshua 23:6 (NLT)
“So be very careful to follow everything Moses wrote in the Book of Instruction. Do not deviate from it, turning either to the right or to the left…”
